Welcome to LokalChain. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LokalChain, including its website, communities, features, services, and related products.
By creating an account or using LokalChain, you agree to these Terms and our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy.
1. About LokalChain
LokalChain is an independent, community-driven knowledge and discussion platform founded in 2026. The platform enables people to participate in communities, ask questions, exchange ideas, publish content, and share knowledge across different topics.
LokalChain currently focuses on technology-related communities and may expand into software, finance, entrepreneurship, emerging technologies, and other fields.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create a LokalChain account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and are legally permitted to use the platform under the laws applicable to you.
3. Accounts
You may use a username or pseudonym. LokalChain does not generally require users to publicly display their legal names. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and credentials.
You must not:
- Access another person's account without authorization.
- Sell or transfer accounts for abusive purposes.
- Create accounts to manipulate voting or engagement.
- Use additional accounts to evade restrictions or bans.
- Impersonate individuals, organizations, or LokalChain representatives deceptively.
Multiple accounts may be permitted when used legitimately.
4. Free Membership
Standard LokalChain membership is free. LokalChain may introduce additional optional services in the future, including verified accounts, organizational accounts, corporate profiles, professional tools, premium features, or other paid services.
The introduction of paid features will not automatically convert existing standard membership into a paid subscription.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of the original content you create and submit to LokalChain. This may include posts, comments, images, discussions, answers, articles, profile information, and other contributions.
By publishing content on LokalChain, you grant LokalChain a non-exclusive, worldwide license necessary to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and technically process that content for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the platform.
You do not transfer ownership of your content to LokalChain.
6. Your Responsibility for Content
You are responsible for content you publish. You must have the necessary rights to submit content and must not knowingly violate copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other applicable rights. Content must also comply with the LokalChain Community Guidelines.
7. Content Moderation
LokalChain may moderate content to protect users, communities, platform integrity, and security. Depending on the circumstances, LokalChain may:
Remove Content → Issue a Warning → Restrict Features → Temporarily Suspend an Account → Permanently Ban an Account
Enforcement does not have to follow this sequence. Serious violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal. Eligible moderation decisions may be appealed where an appeal mechanism is available.
8. Community Moderators
Individual communities may be managed by community moderators. Moderators may enforce both LokalChain-wide rules and additional community-specific rules.
Community moderators do not own LokalChain communities or the platform infrastructure. LokalChain retains final authority regarding platform-wide safety, integrity, administration, and enforcement.
9. Crypto and Financial Content
LokalChain may contain discussions concerning cryptocurrencies, blockchain, financial markets, investing, trading, companies, technologies, or financial products. Such content may be created by independent community members.
LokalChain does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax, or trading advice merely by hosting such content. Users are responsible for conducting their own research and evaluating financial decisions independently.
No statement published by another user should be interpreted as a guarantee of profit or future performance.
10. Token and Project Promotion
Direct promotional content primarily intended to market cryptocurrencies, tokens, presales, ICOs, IDOs, NFTs, investment schemes, or similar projects is prohibited unless LokalChain expressly introduces an authorized format for such activity in the future.
Legitimate discussion and relevant project recommendations may be permitted under the Community Guidelines. Fraudulent promotions, phishing, guaranteed-return claims, pump-and-dump coordination, and deceptive investment activity are prohibited.
11. Artificial Intelligence
AI-generated and AI-assisted content is permitted. Users remain responsible for content they publish regardless of whether artificial intelligence assisted in creating it.
AI may not be used to conduct spam, fraud, impersonation, manipulation, or other activities prohibited by these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
12. Intellectual Property
The LokalChain name, brand identity, logos, original interface elements, platform software, and other proprietary materials may be protected by applicable intellectual-property rights.
Use of LokalChain does not grant users ownership of LokalChain's intellectual property. Third-party trademarks and content remain the property of their respective owners.
13. Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their accounts through available account controls or support channels. Where technically, legally, and operationally appropriate, personal information associated with the account will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Public contributions may, where appropriate, remain available in anonymized form to preserve the integrity and continuity of community discussions.
14. Platform Availability
We work to keep LokalChain available and reliable, but continuous or uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. Services may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, infrastructure failures, security incidents, network disruptions, third-party service failures, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Features may also be changed, added, removed, or redesigned as LokalChain evolves.
15. Security
Users must not attempt to compromise LokalChain's systems. Unauthorized access, exploitation of vulnerabilities, malware distribution, denial-of-service attacks, credential theft, scraping intended to disrupt the service, or attempts to bypass security mechanisms are prohibited.
Security vulnerabilities should be reported responsibly rather than exploited.
16. Third-Party Services and Links
LokalChain may contain links to websites, applications, products, or services operated by third parties. LokalChain does not automatically endorse or control third-party services merely because they are mentioned or linked by users.
Users should evaluate third-party services independently.
17. Organizational and Verified Accounts
LokalChain may introduce organizational, professional, corporate, and verified accounts. Additional eligibility requirements, verification procedures, pricing, terms, or policies may apply to these accounts.
Verification will indicate that LokalChain has performed the applicable verification process; it will not constitute an endorsement of every statement, product, or activity of that organization.
18. Termination and Suspension
LokalChain may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, prevent fraud or abuse, protect platform security, comply with applicable legal obligations, or respond to serious or repeated Community Guidelines violations.
Users may also stop using LokalChain and request account deletion.
19. Changes to These Terms
LokalChain will evolve. These Terms may therefore be updated to reflect new features, legal requirements, security needs, or changes to the platform.
For material changes, reasonable efforts will be made to inform users through the platform or other appropriate channels. The latest version will be published on this page together with its effective or updated date.
